Trail Journeys Nelson becomes Kiwi Journeys
With some recent changes to the ownership of Trail Journeys Nelson, I am pleased to advise that the company is re-branding to be known as Kiwi Journeys and has returned to family run, Nelson-based ownership and is now 100% New Zealand owned.
Started by Andrew Schwass and his family in 2012 Trail Journeys Nelson grew out of the recognition of a growing interest in cycle tourism in the region. One of the first companies to offer independent cycle hire and guided tours on the Great Taste Trail and now known as Kiwi Journeys, the company are passionate about continuing the growth of the infrastructure and the wider demand for cycle tours on Tasman’s Great Taste Trail and now the West Coast Wilderness Trail. The Mapua Ferry will remain an integral part of the Kiwi Journeys business and will continue to operate under our ownership, serving the wider community and connecting up the Rabbit Island to Mapua section of the Trail.
You will notice the new branding appearing in our three bases, vehicles and equipment in the coming days and replacement brochures will be in stock this week. Its business as usual in our stores with Nige Schroder stepping into the role of Operations Manager with Mel Weir, and Lynnie Nevin driving the Nelson booking office.
I would like to personally thank you and our fantastic suppliers for your continued support of Kiwi Journeys and wish you all the best for a safe and happy Christmas and a successful summer season.
