Job Vacancies

Opportunities available in Nelson, Hokitika and Cromwell

During our peak season (November to the end of April), Kiwi Journeys take on additional staff to help us in the busy summer season. We are looking for staff that know and love our region, but we would consider anyone who is passionate and hard working. As we are a seven day-a-week operation, we require staff to be available to work weekends and holidays. Have a look at the positions below and get in touch if they sound like you.

We love to retain our amazing staff year on year if that appeals!

Seasonal - P licence drivers

This role involves taking responsibility for transporting our clients, bikes, and luggage between different parts of their tours. You must have your P-licence and be great with our clients. The ability to think on your feet and lifting heavy E-bikes is essential. More work can be available if you are handy and willing to service bikes as well. Part time or full time positions working on a rostered basis.

Seasonal - Shop assistants

With depots in Nelson City, Mapua Wharf, Hokitika and Cromwell (Central Otago), Kiwi Journeys require motivated people to help with our day-to-day activities involved with renting of bikes, customer service and basic bike maintenance and upkeep. Area and trail knowledge is preferred and a get up and go attitude is required.

If any of these positions sound like you then please email a covering letter and CV to: sherie@kiwijourneys.co.nz

In 2021, Kiwi Journeys was a finalist in the 2021 Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand Experience awards. To be recognised for this award, we first needed to achieve the Qualmark Gold Award standard.

To reach the finals, we had to demonstrate excellence in the following criteria:

  • Manaakitanga - showing aroha to guests within your community.

  • Tiaki - guardianship and protection for the people and places under their care.

  • Whānau - looking after those closest to the business, as well as those visiting from afar.

These awards recognise the dedication of Kiwi Journeys to the wellbeing of the people supporting and surrounding us, even through the challenging tourism environment we experienced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kiwi Journeys aim to make cycling in the region accessible to all. We have a number of E-bikes and Tandems for people with reduced mobility or vision impairments.
